Here at the Dropzone, we’ve got Taupo’s only indoor tenpin bowling alley! 10 lanes of bowling to guarantee a great day or night out with friends and family! With it’s fresh tunes, exciting atmosphere and friendly banter. Whether it’s a rainy day activity on the weekend, or a weekly competition with workmates after knock-off, it’s time to put your best foot forward (are you a lefty or a righty?) and see if you can strike out!

Due to its popularity, we do recommend booking ahead so you don’t miss out on the day and time you’re wanting to play. Please note: Final bowling games one hour prior to closing.

How it Works

No experience or special equipment needed! We provide everything you need, bowling balls, bowling shoes (you can wear your own soft soled shoes if you wish), lanes, 10 pins and automatic scoring system. Our friendly team members can even print out your scores to take home!
